Forest Games Olympics 2026 Held

The “Forest Games Olympics 2026” competitions were held in the garden of the Faculty of Forestry under the hosting of Isparta University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Forestry and the coordination of the Western Mediterranean Branch of the Turkish Foresters’ Association.
The games aimed to transfer forestry activities to younger generations in the form of games, to help society better understand activities carried out in nature, and to encourage interaction and competition among university students. Teams from the Faculty of Fisheries of Eğirdir, the Faculty of Forestry, the Faculty of Agriculture, and the Faculty of Technology of Isparta University of Applied Sciences competed in the event.
As part of the competitions, students cut logs, rolled logs, stacked firewood, collected cones, and determined the ages of trees.
At the end of the competitions, the OEM Young Woodworkers Community placed first, the Young TEMA Community came second, and the White Screen Community placed third. Following the presentation of plaques to those who contributed to the event, medals, trophies, and certificates of participation were awarded to the winning teams.
The Olympics, which was attended by students from different faculties, aimed to prepare students for professional life and natural conditions. The event concluded with a concert by the IUAS Stage Orchestra and with the serving of helva, pişi and ayran to participants.
