Comprehensive "Applied Medicinal Leech Breeding Training" from ISUBÜ

The "Applied Medicinal Leech Breeding Training," organized in cooperation with Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ) Continuing Education Application and Research Center (SEM) and Medicinal Leech Application and Research Center (SÜLMER), is waiting for its new term participants. The training program, in which 10 courses have been successfully completed so far with the participation of a total of 149 trainees from Turkey and Uzbekistan, continues to bring qualified and equipped breeders to the sector.
 
 Organizing two different training programs in 2026 
The first of the courses, which will be held under the instruction of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ceylan, a faculty member Faculty of Fisheries and Director of the Medicinal Leech Application and Research Center, will be organized between May 16 - 19, 2026. Registration for this term will continue until May 13, 2026.
The second course planned for those who want to participate in the training during the summer period will be held between August 22 - 25, 2026, and the deadline for registration for this program has been announced as August 18, 2026.
The trainings, which last a total of 4 days (32 hours) and are limited to 22 people in order to keep efficiency at the highest level, are given face-to-face.
 
 All Processes are Applied by the Trainees Personally 
In the training, where all practical and theoretical information needed by the sector is presented, all stages of medicinal leech farming are personally applied by the trainees. Within the comprehensive curriculum; obtaining blood from the slaughterhouse, feeding and care techniques, production stages, marketing strategies, export processes, and legal licensing procedures are covered in all details.
The institution continues to support its participants in their activities in the sector by not leaving them alone not only during the training process but also after the training.
 
 E-Government Approved Certificate Opportunity 
An official certificate that can be verified via e-Government is given to the trainees who successfully complete the training program.
